Merry Christmas

“Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.”

Probably all of you reading this can remember lying under the Christmas tree, looking up through the branches, and thinking of all the wonderful gifts that you might be about to receive.

Merry Christmas to all!

Gina & Daniel

Now this was one very exciting day at UGA. This wedding was held at the historic UGA chapel, which is right behind the arches. We had so much fun with this wonderful couple, Gina and Daniel. They both attended the University a few years ago and now reside in Atlanta. Since they both went to UGA, they decided to get married at the UGA chapel. Great choice! The reception was at the historic Georgian Hotel in downtown Athens.

Nice hairdoo Gina!

Tracy & Craig

Downtown Atlanta. An unbelievable venue for a wedding. There is so much history involved with this area. All the big buildings are atleast 100 years old, with some even older. We shot this wonder couple's wedding, Tracy & Craig. They stayed at Georgian Terrace Hotel. Since 1911, The Georgian Terrace Hotel has been the venue of choice for Atlanta’s most prominent events, including hosting the world premiere reception for Gone With the Wind in 1939. The ceremony and the reception was held at the famous Biltmore Hotel. Built in 1924, The Biltmore Hotel was the focal point of Atlanta's business and social life for almost sixty years. Once publicized as "The South's Supreme Hotel", The Biltmore closed its doors in 1982, following changes in ownership and years of steady decline. After sixteen years of neglect and abandonment, The Biltmore underwent a total renovation in 1999, transforming the former hotel into a combination of Class A office space, retail and special event space. With the renovation of The Georgian and Imperial Ballrooms, and now listed on The National Register of Historic Places, The Biltmore quickly recaptured its standing as one of the social and business epicenters of Atlanta. Featuring original handcrafted plaster relief ceilings, restored crystal chandeliers, Palladian windows and Tennessee marble floors, the special event space can accommodate groups from 50 to 1500 guests. The whole wedding was coordinated by Nicole Fantz of Peachtree Weddings. Nicole was a joy to work with and kept everything flowing beautifully the whole night.

Dads Who Shoot Straight

Last Sunday was fathers day, and what a wonderful time of thankfulness and reflection of what our fathers mean to us. Little Garrett in the portraits below is going to have a brother soon. We always enjoy the maternity sessions, especially from returning clients like Garrett, his mom Becki and grandmother Mimi. These kids grow up so fast. That's why it is so important to get these portraits of once in a lifetime events.

My boy is 9 months old!

They told me time would fly, and it is ...

With our first kid, Megan, time seemed a little slower, but with our second one, time is moving fast. The portraits below are from yesterday.

So busy, I have neglected my bloging. I recently had the privilege of shooting a wedding with a fellow colleague of mine, Michelle Ashe from Thomson Ga. She is a great photographer. We became friends about three years ago at the North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville Ga. We also had the chance to shoot a wedding in Savannah Ga. about this same time last year. The bride and groom and the whole wedding party were so wonderful the whole night. I just wanted to post a few of my favorite images and a slide show.
